Choose a fence for the way you use your yard
The right fence balances privacy, appearance and everyday access. A front boundary may need a welcoming picket style or slatted finish, while a side or rear boundary may call for a solid screen. We discuss the style, height and layout with you before preparing the scope.
Timber fencing
Timber paling fences are a practical option for residential boundaries. Capped timber, exposed posts, pickets and horizontal timber styles offer different finishes. Gates can be included to maintain access through the yard. See examples of our timber fences and double gates in the project gallery.
Steel, aluminium and PVC options
We also discuss COLORBOND steel, aluminium and PVC fencing, along with privacy screens and gates. The best choice depends on the location, level changes and finish you want. Tell us if you are matching an existing fence or starting with a new boundary.
New fences and fence replacements
If there is an old fence to remove, let us know its material and condition. Removal, disposal and access requirements can be included in the quote rather than left as assumptions. For new fences, approximate measurements and photos help us understand the proposed line and any obstacles.
Slopes, retaining walls, trees, gate openings and tight side access can all change the work involved. We will discuss these details and whether a site inspection is needed before finalising the quote.
What to send for a fencing quote
Include your suburb, approximate fence length, preferred height and material, and the number of gates. Add photos showing both the boundary and access from the street. If you need landscaping or a retaining wall as part of the same job, mention it so the work can be considered together.
Common questions
Can you remove an existing fence?
Yes. Tell us what the existing fence is made from and whether disposal is required. We can include the agreed removal work in the scope.
Do you install gates as well?
Yes. Pedestrian and double gate requirements can be discussed with your fencing project. Send the opening width and preferred style.
